Active
Dosimetry
People working in environments with an increased risk of radiation exposure need special protection. Active dosimetry allows precise measurement and monitoring of radiation levels in real time. Dosilab offers an integrated solution for active dosimetry, which is embedded within a company’s internal network, allowing for seamless use in daily operations:
dosiACTIVE
flexible and expandable system
Real-time dose monitoring enables timely information on radiation levels as well as traceability in critical situations. dosiACTIVE is an integrated solution that can be easily incorporated into an existing network. The system includes dosemeters that actively measure each wearer’s individual radiation exposure, as well as an attribution station that assigns dosemeters to specific users. When the dosemeters are returned, the station reads the recorded dose values and transmits them to the central database.
Active dosemeter
dose measurements in real time
The active dosemeter is taken from the assignment station and assigned to an individual by entering a personal code. It measures both the dose and the dose rate and displays them in real time on the display. If predefined, personal limits are exceeded, an alarm is triggered. Thereby, the monitored person is informed at all times about their own radiation exposure and can act accordingly.
Unlike passive dosimeters, active personal dosemeters are not assigned to specific individuals, but can be worn by any person registered in the database. As soon as the dosemeter is returned to the assignment station, the dose measurements registered by the APD are transferred to the dosiSERVER database. The device is then ready for the next person to use.
Dosilab also offers an active dosemeter with Bluetooth transmission. This allows the measurement data to be transmitted to a monitor in real time. This is particularly useful during training sessions or in the operating room, whereby the dosemeter is worn underneath a lead apron and is therefore not directly visible.
Assignment stations
Dosilab offers assignment stations in four versions: nanoSTA with 1 slot, microSTA with 4 slots, miniSTA with 8 slots and miniSTA + EXT with 16 slots for dosemeters.
The assignment stations feature a touchscreen interface and enable users to assign dosemeters and view their individual dose readings. Furthermore, it transfer measurement data to the central database and loads the APD’s battery.
One of the key features of the assignment stations is their continued functionality in the event of a network interruption. All operations are stored locally and automatically synchronised as soon as the connection is restored.
dosiCLIENT
software modules
dosiCLIENT, a software solution developed in-house by Dosilab, enabling the management of personal data and personnel changes, as well as the retrieval and analysis of recorded dose values by individual, department or facility.
